Privacy Policy

Dream Door is built to keep your family's data in your family's hands. There are no accounts. Your child's name, your stories, and your settings live on your device — not on our servers. We don't sell data, and we don't track your child.

Information in the app

• Stories & profiles you create are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to us.
• Story generation. When you weave a new tale or cover, the choices you made — a first name if you enter one, an age range, a setting, themes, and language — are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate the text and image, then returned to your device. We suggest a nickname rather than a full legal name.
• Usage analytics. The current version of Dream Door sends no usage analytics at all. There is no advertising identifier, no analytics SDK, and no cross-app tracking of any kind. If we ever add anonymous, aggregated analytics, we will update this policy and our App Store privacy label before switching them on.
• Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.

Information on this website

• The waitlist. If you enter your email to join the waitlist, it is stored by our email provider (Kit) solely to notify you about Dream Door's launch. You can unsubscribe from any email at any time. We won't sell or share it.
• The site loads fonts from Google Fonts; your browser's standard request data (such as IP address) may be processed by Google to serve them. We run no advertising trackers.

Children's privacy

Dream Door is a tool for parents and guardians — not a service directed at children — and children should use it only with an adult. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because stories stay on your device and there are no accounts, a child using the app with you leaves no personal data with us.

AI-generated content

Stories and images in Dream Door are created by artificial intelligence and are not reviewed by us before you see them. Please read each tale before sharing it with a child; you are always the final judge of what is appropriate. Any story can be reported inside the app.

Who processes data for us

• Google (Gemini API) — generates story text and cover images from the choices you send.
• Apple — App Store purchases and subscriptions.
• Kit — the website waitlist email only.

Your choices

Delete a story anytime in the app; deleting the app removes everything stored on your device. To leave the waitlist, use the unsubscribe link in any email. For any question about your data, contact us below.

Changes

We may update this policy as Dream Door grows. Material changes will be posted here with a new date.
